The Customer

The customer to whom we provided web analytic services is one of the world's largest publishers of video games. Our customer has country specific websites in 18 different languages. These sites are used to provide gamers with previews of upcoming games, game patches, forums, FAQs, documentations, updates, news etc. The websites also contain screenshots and videos of game-play for games which are either released or under development. These are used to generate an interest in gamers who visit the sites.

The Project

The customer asked us to analyze the basic stats of visitors that came to their entire range of web properties within each territory. We were also asked to find out how the individual websites and a few particular franchises of our customer were performing
The web analytics team at Outsource2india continued the reporting structure that was followed earlier. Our analysts also extended the reporting to a range of content that existed in each territory (games, sites, franchises, brands etc)
Our customer would ask us for answers to very specific questions. For example, if our customer launched a new game section yesterday, they would ask us to find out how many visitors came and what and how much did the visitors see on the game section

The Process

Our customer was using Omniture Site Catalyst to track their websites. When our customer outsourced their web analytics requirements to us, we leveraged the capabilities of Omniture to give them the information they required, based on which our customer made business decisions
