The Client

A leading urologist from US and a self-taught inventor approached Outsource2india to support him in new product development. The doctor has invented a unique personal hygiene product for women which is compact, portable, and has specific volumes. After referring our work online, the doctor was determined to design, prototype, and eventually manufacture this with O2I.

Requirement and Challenges

The client did not look for a trial and in the very first meeting shared his concept with O2I. Team O2I understood the concept and presented conceptual designs in 10 days followed by signing an NDA.

There were however a few challenges that our team faced while working on the project.

The client thinks on his feet and is very quick in conveying design changes and modifications. This meant Team O2I had to keep pace with requisitions and constantly engage in updates on a daily basis. Since O2I was in control of the design, the urologist delegated the responsibility of executing the prototype and production to Outsource2india.

Outsource2india set up an exclusive team of 3 members to work on the 3D model of the product using Solidworks. To match client's pace of design changes, the team used to cater instantly to the change requests discussed with the client daily through a regular reporting system.

The urologist also delegated responsibility of executing the prototype and production to Outsource2india so the team had to convert drawings into prototype-ready images. Further Team O2I had to maintain ASME-certified standards and use materials permissible in the American market.
