GoPro Video Editing for a Sri Lanka-based Client

The Client

The client recently returned from a trip to Sri Lanka and had a number of GoPro videos that required editing. They approached O2I with the following requests -

• Editing of raw footage from 20 videos shot over the course of 10 days
• Completion of a single high quality video drawn from the 20 raw videos
• Creation of a template that provided client information as a deliverable with the finished video
• Inclusion of background music provided by the client into the finished video
• Completion of the project within just 5 days to meet the client's deadline

Project Challenges

The project had a pair of unique challenges that had to be dealt with by the Outsource2india team. To start, only a single member of the team had existing experience working with GoPro video footage. Combined with the 20 videos that needed to be edited in just 5 days' time, there was considerable pressure internally to ensure the resources and response was available for quick completion of the project.

The Solution

To ensure the 5-day turnaround time and the high quality standards expected by all Outsource2india clients were met, the following was performed -

• An initial sample was produced and sent to the client for review before the project commenced in full flow
• The videos were delivered by the client via Google Drive for quick access
• Once the videos were received, the team was able to edit the clips. This editing process included removing unwanted and unnecessary footage from the files to create a single final video, creating a template with the client's information, addition of background music that the client had provided, color correction, and video stabilization for the final file
• Use of Adobe After Effects to perform the edits required to produce the final product for the client

Project Results
