The Client

The client was a leading writer based in Denmark. The client is a well-known writer who majorly specializes in writing children's books.

The Requirement

The client was actively looking for a reliable illustration service provider who could help them with about 60 illustrations for a children's fantasy storybook. They wanted us to illustrate 12 characters for the storybook comprising a total of 60 Chinese style illustrations. The client also wanted us to develop the illustrations with a faded look and the color tone changed to reflect the faded look.

The Challenges

Our team of illustrators at Outsoirce2india had to face certain challenges while implementing the illustration project for the client. The major challenges were -

1. It was difficult for our team to understand the client's needs such as the faded look and the old look illustrations that the client was looking for
2. The client wanted us to deliver the illustrations within a quick time

The Trial

The client wanted to test our illustration services and how quickly we could complete the project. So, they chose to outsource a trial project initially. We assigned 2 resources for the trial project which lasted for about 18 hours and we successfully completed the illustration within the stipulated time.

Full-Term Contract

The client was highly satisfied with the results of the trial project and decided to outsource the entire project to us. We assigned a total of 3 resources for the project who would be working on the project for a course of two months. Each of the resources would be delivering 10 illustrations in a month.

The project involved understand the storybook requirements, provide a basic sketch for each of the characters, coloring of sketches, and illustrating them using Adobe Illustrator.
