The client is a global leader in affordable 3D visualization of real spaces and caters to clients who create, modify, manage, or market real places. They focus especially on businesses that depend on 2D photography to create content, communicate with stakeholders, or document projects. With branches in Lisbon, Washington, Berlin etc., they have service partners in every US State, and in over 75 countries around the world.
The client received a high volume of property images from individuals and businesses in the real estate sector. The client edited these images, used the edited images to create video snippets and uploaded them onto their portal. Their customers in turn accessed these images and used them to showcase their properties to their agents or end customers.
The client wanted to partner with an offshore design team to edit the huge volume of images and create the video snippets, at the most affordable costs.
O2I perused the clients' need and performed an evaluation and Scope of Work assessment. Based on the clients' requirement, a quality test (trial) was scheduled. During the first trial, O2I assigned three design resources to edit 50 images using Photoshop CC and Lightroom CC, and create video snippets from the edited images. We completed the trial successfully within 24 hours.
Based on the success of the first trial, the client trained O2I via live video conference and provided more elaborate information to carry out a second trial.
The second trial was more complex and involved a lot of steps. O2I assigned three resources to complete the second trial in two phases.
Next, the client provided O2I with account access and credentials for the web application. On logging on, the O2I image editor had to click on the list of properties, rotate the property images through a hotspot and take a snapshot of the best angle. These images automatically synced to form a small video snippet.
The third trial involved creating a 3D model with animation specialists (using all the image clips), and a Quality Specialist identifying and filling in the vacant spaces between each room.
Based on the quality of the three trials, the client signed a full-time contract with O2I for their ongoing work. The client outsourced 20,000 images a month to O2I initially and increased to 100,000 images in three months.
The client was pleased with the speed with which we delivered the project.
