Lead Design Engineer – Engineering Services

Job Description	Must understand project requirements from estimation to execution Plans and executes projects on time, cost and quality Evaluates technical capability of vendors and transitions non-core projects Is willing to travel on short assignments to global locations Coaches, mentors and develops team to constantly higher levels of technical ability
Required Competencies	BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering Demonstrated proficiency in either Machine / equipment design or product design, standard parts (motors, valves, etc.) selection, geometric dimensioning and tolerance as per functionality and manufacture. Must have proficiency in at least one of casting/ wood / refrigeration / plastics / sheet metal / tooling. Exposure to analysis added advantage Demonstrated proficiency in planning and execution of projects and managing a small team. 4+ years of total experience 2 + years of product design and development experience should include design, analysis and close interaction with manufacturing. 1+ years in project management Must have excellent communication skills, team player, must manage team, international work experience or interaction with preferred. Manufacturing knowledge preferred. Exposure to global vendor development / sourcing practices
